ENGLISH EOY Paper 1 HINTS

Paper 1, Section 2

INFORMAL LETTER (see format below)

Block 308, Simei Street 3
#08-459
Singapore 520308

30th April 2007

Dear Teck Whye

How are you? I've missed seeing you around in school! I hope you are getting used to life in Australia now. You asked for updates about school life, so here they are!

School has been pretty fun! We just had our 41st Annual Sports Meet, and it was held at the Tampines Stadium. Our class won 3rd position in the 4x100m Relay! It was such a surprise, because our boys do not seem like runners at all! However, they did try their very best, and did our class proud.

Lessons have been boring though. Exams are around the corner, and teachers have just been revising school work with us. We sit for our English Papers this Wednesday. I have been trying to study, but somehow, I just can't get down to it. Oh, the folly of playing too much during lessons!

Well, it's been fun recounting life in Singapore for you, but I have to end soon – I shall try studying after I finish writing this letter to you! Take care, and perhaps, I shall visit you in Australia this holidays!

Yours sincerely
